My favorite holiday is New Year's Day. Because I can meet many relative and get some money. Probably many Japanese like this holiday. In Japan, most parents and adults have to give money for children. This habit is called "Otoshidama". I'll get some money until get job. Instead of, I'll have to give it for the future. OMG! Moreover, we eat "Osechi". Many dishes include this. Also we eat "Ozo-ni". This is kind of soup with mochi. Have you ever eaten mochi? I like it. It's hard and stretchy. After eat these dishes, generally we go to shrine and wish for new year's happiness. And back to home, we read New Year's card. This is a letter for New Year's greeting. All these habits are traditional. The holiday is busy but enjoy. I look forward to spending the holiday with my family after back to Japan.
